Frenzy all the way. BR is good also, but like most people said, sux when it ends (unless you spam it just before it ends,... but, it ends when u use a non-attack skill, bummer!).

Frenzy doesn't half your defense, you take double damage. There is a difference in the two.

Dolyak and Armor slow you down so you won't be able to catch anyone.

If you have Spiteful Spirit or Empathy on you just *GASP* stop attacking. Or better yet, bring hex removal.

Edit: Dark Fury, For Great Justice, Battle Rage*. If you use all of those you will get 5a per hit.

Not that this doesn't prevent you from using Battle Rage and getting 4x Adrenaline.

This is true (that's because it's not an attack skill), but it's immediately in effect again. Hit all your adrenaline skills, then Battle Rage when you see it blinking. 2 hits later you've got 4 adrenaline. If your Necro friend from above has Dark Fury, you have 8 (N/R with Oath Shot, anyone?). What can't you do with 8 Adrenaline every two swings?

I've been afraid to use FGJ and BR... Can someone confirm that Shouts can stack in this way? That seems to go against the general rule of Guild Wars...

[Edit]
I woke up at 2am last night realizing just how stupid that last statement was.
Battle Rage? Yeah. That's a stance. {QUOTE}well over 100% brain{/QUOTE}? My arse.

oath shot - 50% failure with _expertise_ 7 or less. not happening.

and taking BR means you cant take something like eviscerate or devastating hammer = not so good. watcha gonna do, use dismember? hammer bash? >.<

I don't see why your Necro can't be primary Ranger... But okay, fair enough.

Um, yeah. I'd maybe take dismember... But more likely:
Executioner's Strike
Penetrating Blow
Swift Chop -- can give Deep Wound dependent upon stance for longer than Eviscerate
Power Attack
Disrupting Chop and maybe
Cyclone Axe

Start at the top of the list, and work your way down. By the time you get to DC, all your adrenaline skills are recharged. To the Limit! to get it all started. Add CA if TtL didn't get BR quite started.

BR = one-trick pony build, but the above is certainly not ineffective. Just make sure you have an ally for when you go blind.

I use flurry, just because I get adrenaline faster without sacrificing health

It depends really on your skill setup. I rely primarily on adrenal skills to deal damage (Sever Artery, Gash and Final Thrust) as well as taking "Watch Yourself!" if I'm out hunting with my guildmates. As such, it's much more worthwhile for me to take "For Great Justice!" as it rapidly charges up all my adrenal skills (usually to max) within 4 or 5 seconds of battle commencing.

If you're tossing up between Frenzy and Flurry, you could reduce the damage penalty by looking for a weapon that improves your damage (say, 10- 15%) while in a stance. That will tilt the balance in favor of Flurry. I really don't like to use Frenzy, particularly in PvP, because the moment the other team realises you're using Frenzy, you become the new target of choice. (I LOVE Frenzy-using warriors when I'm playing my sacrificing necro. I can deal out almost 400+ damage in just under 5 seconds )

My Final Thrust also tends to hover around the 78 - 95 damage range too. (Although I've seen it go up to 113 on a critical hit). I have 11 Swordsmanship, but only Strength 10, so that might be the cause.
